Thursday: Turning The Lens

Symposium 2027 begins by challenging how we think, work, and connect. Shifting Perspectives invites us to look at dentistry through a broader lens, one that recognizes the powerful interplay between culture, wellness, and collaborative care.

Today’s sessions explore how human connection, including the often-overlooked skill of humor, can transform workplace culture, reduce stress, and elevate performance. The focus then widens to the critical link between oral and systemic health, examining oxidative stress as a root driver of cardiovascular and metabolic disease and reinforcing dentistry’s vital role in whole-body health.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world clinical examples, Thursday sets the tone for a Symposium built on connection, curiosity, and clarity.  It reveals how new perspectives can reshape outcomes for both patients and teams.

Friday: Where Patterns Emerge

Friday turns attention to the intricate patterns that shape human health and modern care. Patterns in Practice explores how breath, biology, behavior, and technology intersect, revealing connections that sharpen clinical insight and deepen our understanding of whole-body wellness.

Sessions examine the profound impact of breathing on health and performance, emerging science around the gut biome, and the often-overlooked links between hormones, airway health, and cardiovascular risk, particularly in women’s health. Alongside these clinical advances, the day challenges us to reclaim human connection and trust in an increasingly digital world, reminding us that technology should enhance and not replace what makes care truly human.

The day builds toward action with the introduction of the TRX Planning Battles, setting the stage for collaborative thinking, clinical strategy, and spirited competition. Friday is about recognizing patterns, strengthening connections, and preparing to bring clarity into complex decision-making.

Evening at Your Leisure

Saturday, January 16

Saturday: Clarity, Not Completion

The final day of Symposium 2027 isn’t about arriving at a final answer, it’s about leaving with clearer intention. Intentional Clarity recognizes that, like a kaleidoscope, dentistry is always shifting, revealing new patterns as science, technology, and collaboration continue to evolve.

Today’s sessions focus on applying insight with precision while remaining open to change. From contemporary, tooth-conserving approaches to severe wear, to integrated restorative–orthodontic planning supported by digital workflows, the emphasis is on making thoughtful, informed decisions within an ever-changing clinical landscape.

The day culminates in the Treatment Planning Battle, where collaboration, strategy, and adaptability come together in real time. As the Symposium concludes, the message is clear: progress isn’t about perfect focus, it’s about continuously refining how we see, think, and act as the picture keeps changing.
