Bone Augmentation in the Esthetic Area: A Technique-Sensitive Procedure
Lecture up to 0.75 hour
Implants | AGD Subject Code 690
In the esthetic zone, insufficient bone can either prevent implant placement altogether or significantly compromise esthetic outcomes. Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) has emerged as a reliable and effective technique for addressing these deficiencies.
This lecture outlines the principles of GBR and highlights the importance of proper technique and material selection. When applied correctly, this method can yield predictable and long-lasting results—even in challenging clinical scenarios. Attendees will gain an understanding of the key steps involved in successful bone augmentation for optimized implant placement and esthetics.
Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Understand the most important steps for optimal bone augmentation, even in challenging situations.
- Evaluate the selection and application of materials used in Guided Bone Regeneration for predictable long-term outcomes.
