Irena Sailer, DMD
Adhesive Rehabilitation of Patients with Tooth Wear
Lecture up to 0.75 hour
Myofascial Pain/Occlusion | AGD Subject Code 180
This program covers the latest advancements in full-mouth adhesive rehabilitation for patients experiencing tooth wear. The presentation explores defect-oriented preparation and adhesive cementation techniques that have transformed restorative dentistry by enabling conservative and minimally invasive treatment approaches.
Defect-oriented preparations involve removing only the compromised portions of a tooth, preserving as much healthy structure as possible—an especially critical approach for patients with generalized wear. The session also examines the most current innovations in prosthetic materials, including zirconia, lithium disilicate, and resin composites, all of which have enhanced the strength and esthetics of dental restorations.
Attendees will gain insights into the clinical indications, advantages, and limitations of these materials, along with guidance for selecting the most appropriate solutions for various restorative scenarios.
Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Understand the pre-treatment analysis, and diagnostics and treatment planning of patients with generalized tooth wear.
- Identify the latest techniques and materials used in full-mouth adhesive rehabilitations for patients with tooth wear.
- Apply defect oriented preparations, adhesive cementation, and the latest prosthetic materials and techniques.
