Menopause affects more than just health — it touches relationships, workplace dynamics, and daily life. Whether you’re experiencing menopause firsthand or supporting someone who is, this session offers valuable insights and tools to deepen your understanding and strengthen your support.
We’ll explore the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause, discuss practical strategies for managing them (with and without medical intervention), and offer guidance on creating menopause-aware environments at home, in healthcare settings, and in the workplace. This session is designed for everyone — including partners, colleagues, employers, and healthcare providers — to help foster empathy, reduce stigma, and encourage open dialogue. No one should navigate this transition alone.
Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Understand why we need to be talking about menopause, especially in the workplace.
Identify what menopause is, why it happens, and when it may occur. - Recognize common symptoms and understand their potential impact across personal and professional settings.
- Explore both medical and non-medical approaches to managing menopause, and where to find credible information.
- Provide or seek support through healthcare, work, and personal networks.
