From Complexity to Cohesion: Live Comprehensive Treatment Planning in Full-Mouth Rehabilitation
Lecture up to 2 hours
| AGD Subject Code
In this capstone session, Dr Gonzalo Blasi takes the stage to present a challenging full-mouth comprehensive case, guiding participants through the diagnostic findings, biologic considerations, and restorative constraints that define advanced interdisciplinary care. The case is intentionally complex, requiring thoughtful sequencing, risk assessment, and collaboration across specialties.
Building on the principles explored in earlier case discussions, the three remaining teams engage in a live treatment-planning challenge, each developing and defending a comprehensive approach to full-mouth rehabilitation. As the teams deliberate, table discussions and audience participation are actively woven into the session, allowing attendees to explore alternative strategies, question assumptions, and synthesize learning in real time.
This dynamic format brings together multiple perspectives from prosthodontic, surgical, restorative, to biologic, highlighting how different planning philosophies can arrive at high-level care through thoughtful collaboration. While one team will ultimately advance as the winner of the challenge, the emphasis remains on shared learning, clinical reasoning, and respect for diverse approaches. The session reinforces that in comprehensive dentistry, excellence is not singular, but collective.
Upon completion of this workshop, attendees should be able to:
Evaluate comprehensive treatment planning strategies for a complex full-mouth rehabilitation case using interdisciplinary clinical reasoning
Integrate biologic, functional, and restorative considerations into sequenced treatment plans through collaborative discussion and comparative analysis.
