At the end of class, we will use a small ball to release muscle and fascia for the hips, upper back and feet!
(The ball will be provided to you at the beginning of class)

Pilates , based on Joseph Pilates teachings, focuses on alignment/stability and strengthens the core. This can help you get strong, prevent injury and heal from injury. The exercises are done with breath to enhance the engagement of the core. The added focus and awareness of breath can also facilitate the relaxation of the nervous system. The overall effect is an exercise that leaves you feeling rejeuvenated and relaxed.
Gyrotonic (R) , created by Juliu Horvath, also emphasizes the core and breath as well as introduces an aspect of reaching/expanding outward. It is movement that usually involves the whole body. Movements can be small and larger, exploring possible range of motion with “connection” from our center as we reach outward.
Anelody blends her knowledge of anatomy from bodywork, Pilates and Gyrotonic (R) to create classes that are well balanced and fun!
