Women’s Heart & Brain Health: This engaging presentation explores the powerful connection between women’s heart health, brain health, diabetes, and dementia. Attendees will learn to recognize female-specific risk factors, identify hidden vascular disease before symptoms develop, and implement evidence-based strategies to prevent chronic disease and optimize long-term health.
Participants will also gain insight into how these systemic conditions may present in dental patients and the role dental professionals can play in early awareness, risk recognition, and patient education to support overall health.
Upon Completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Identify key cardiovascular and cognitive health risks specific to women and recognize early indicators of systemic disease that may impact dental patients
- Apply principles of prevention and early intervention to support patient awareness and improve overall health outcomes
- Integrate education and communication strategies into practice to promote patient understanding and encourage proactive health management
