How to Be “Good at People”: Energizing Your Interactions with The Circuit of Connection™
Lecture up to 1 hour
Practice Management and Human Relations | AGD Subject Code 660
Connection matters in every aspect of our lives, at work, at home, and everywhere in between. The challenge isn’t that we don’t care; it’s that in the pace of daily life, we often stop showing up fully in our interactions. The good news is that connection isn’t something you either have or you don’t. It’s a skill that can be developed, and when done well, it has a direct impact on communication, team dynamics, and patient relationships.
In this interactive workshop, participants will learn The Circuit of Connection—a simple, practical framework for strengthening everyday interactions. Through engaging discussion, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises, this session breaks connection down into three essential, teachable skills:
- SEE Humans – Recognize and understand others beyond surface-level interactions
- BE Human – Show up with presence, authenticity, and intention
- SPEAK Human – Communicate in ways that build trust, clarity, and connection
Participants will leave with actionable tools to improve communication, reduce friction in conversations, and foster stronger, more effective relationships in both professional and personal settings.
Upon Completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Identify key moments where connection is lost in conversations and apply strategies to recover and improve communication in real time.
- Use perspective-taking, curiosity, and intentional language to reduce tension, build trust, and create more productive interactions.
- Apply practical communication techniques, including asking better questions and using purposeful language, to shift conversations toward more meaningful and effective outcomes.
