The Art of the Plan: A Live Collaborative Case Challenge
Lecture up to 3 hours
Multidisciplinary Topics AGD Subject Code 149
In this highly interactive session, Dr Gustavo Giordani presents a localized clinical dilemma, outlining the patient history, diagnostic findings, and clinical constraints that frame the case. The case chosen, designed to invite multiple viable treatment pathways and stimulate interdisciplinary discussion.
Six pre-selected teams will then compete in a live treatment-planning challenge, developing and defending their proposed approaches in real time. As the teams work through the case, attendees are actively engaged through guided discussion and moderated debate, allowing the broader audience to contribute insights, challenge assumptions, and compare decision-making strategies.
This energetic “battle of teams” format creates a shared learning environment where attendees gain visibility into expert clinical reasoning, sequencing choices, and collaborative dynamics. Through audience interaction and table discussions, the session highlights how different perspectives can shape comprehensive care. As the challenge progresses, the field will be narrowed from six teams to three, advancing those to Saturday final treatment planning session whose plans demonstrate clarity, integration, and thoughtful clinical judgment.
Upon completion of this workshop, attendees should be able to:
Evaluate multiple interdisciplinary treatment planning approaches for a localized clinical dilemma by observing and participating in expert-led discussion.
Apply collaborative treatment planning principles to improve diagnostic reasoning, sequencing, and comprehensive care outcomes in clinical practice.
